John Krasinski is back as Jack Ryan in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War, which is set to debut on Prime Video on May 20, 2026. The feature-length film brings the franchise back after the series wrapped its fourth season in 2023, and puts Ryan back into espionage after an international covert mission unravels a deadly conspiracy.
The project also reunites Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly, while Sienna Miller joins the ensemble as MI6 officer Emma Marlowe. Andrew Bernstein directed the film, with Aaron Rabin, Krasinski and Noah Oppenheim credited with the screenplay and story. The movie is set in real time, with lives on the line and the threat tightening as the story moves forward.
Bernstein said he hopes Krasinski is “never done” with the role, adding that he sees more story to tell and more corners of the character to explore. He also said the production has established a foundation in the movie world that he hopes can continue, a sign that the film is being treated not as a one-off but as the next chapter in a larger Jack Ryan run.
That future has not yet been spelled out. For now, Ghost War is the franchise’s return point, with a familiar cast, a new intelligence operative in Marlowe, and a story built around a conspiracy that forces Ryan back into the field. What happens after May 20, 2026 will depend on whether Prime Video sees this as the start of something bigger, but the movie itself is arriving as the clearest sign yet that Jack Ryan is not finished.
