Emmerdale viewers saw trainee Jacob Sudgen left terrified on Monday, May 11, after Doctor Caitlin Todd made it clear her vendetta against him was not over. Jacob had tried to clear the air before her father's funeral by giving her flowers, but the gesture did nothing to soften the tension between the pair.
After Jacob left, Dr Todd threw the flowers onto the sofa and later told Vanessa Woodfield in the shop that she might use her spare time to make Jacob's life as hellish as it had been when they worked together. Smirking, she added: “especially with what I know.” The moment landed hard because the conflict had already been building for weeks, with Todd repeatedly criticising Jacob while acting as his mentor at the hospital.
