Meghan Markle is reportedly weighing a return to Suits in a reunion movie, and Prince Harry is said to be firmly against it. The new report says the Duchess of Sussex is caught between a possible payday and her husband’s view that acting would send her backward.

One source said Markle knows a reunion movie would be an easy win for visibility and rebuilding public goodwill, while another said the money she could likely negotiate would be a major incentive. Markle, 44, spent seven seasons on the USA Network legal drama before leaving in 2018 to marry Harry.

The idea is not coming out of nowhere. Suits creator Aaron Korsh floated a follow-up after the series surged again on Netflix in 2023, saying, “We might do a Suits movie” and adding, “That could be fun.” The revival put the show back in the conversation and reopened the question of whether Markle would ever step back into the role that made her a TV star.

That conversation now collides with a different reality around her career. Markle once said she was “done” acting and had no plans to return, but one insider now says she is interested in the project while another claims she has no desire to return to the franchise. Those competing accounts leave the question of her next move unclear, even as the stakes around it are plain.

The friction is strongest inside her marriage, according to the report. A source said Harry is very turned off by Hollywood and believes acting is beneath Markle now, adding that he does not understand why she would want to go backwards when she is supposed to be focusing on bigger, more meaningful things. That view matters because the couple’s $100 million Netflix deal has cooled, With Love, Meghan would not get a renewal, and the streamer has also stepped back from investing in her brand, As Ever.

For Markle, a Suits return would offer a fast route back into a franchise that still draws attention and, just as important, a chance to prove there is still an audience for her on screen. For Harry, it appears to represent a return to a world he thinks she has already outgrown. The report leaves little doubt about which side has the easier argument in Hollywood, and which one has the stronger hold at home.
