Team England has confirmed a 42-athlete swimming squad for Glasgow 2026, with Adam Ramsay-Peaty set to return for his fourth Games at Tollcross International Swimming Centre. The group includes 28 Olympic stream swimmers and 14 para stream swimmers, bringing together some of the country’s best-known names and several rising talents for this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
Adam Ramsay-Peaty is listed as a four-time Commonwealth champion and the fastest breaststroke swimmer of all time, while James Guy and Tom Dean are also in the squad. Alice Tai will compete for Team England again after winning back-to-back S9 100m Backstroke titles in 2018 and 2022, and the para stream line-up also includes Poppy Maskill, Rebecca Redfern, William Ellard, Brock Whiston and Louise Fiddes.
Freya Colbert is heading to her second Games after breaking her own British record in the 200m Freestyle at the Aquatics GB Championships last month. Erin Little is set for her senior bow after winning Commonwealth Youth Games gold, adding another new face to a squad that Team England says combines experience with fresh momentum.
The selection reflects a team built to compete as one unit, with Team England describing it as fully integrated and made up of Para and Olympic pathway athletes. Richard Blackshaw said the swimmers were immensely proud and excited to represent Team England and the English swimming community, calling the set-up a rare honour and highlighting the inclusivity and shared ambition within the squad.
Blackshaw added that the group is united by a common goal and wants to represent Team England with distinction this summer, both in and out of the pool, while showing the strength, resilience and talent in English swimming. Jonathon Riall said it was brilliant to announce such a strong squad for Glasgow 2026, pointing to returning Commonwealth champions and true stars alongside new faces ready to make their mark. The test now is whether that mix of proven medal winners and emerging names can deliver again when the competition begins in Glasgow.
