Boily’s story is his own. He was injured in a snowmobile accident as a teenager, and the resulting partial paralysis temporarily derailed his original NHL dreams before he rebuilt his career in para ice hockey. For Fernandez, the timing is just as notable. She won the Mubadala Citi Open in August 2025 and the Japan Open in October 2025, then exited the Italian Open prematurely this week and elected to play the Trophee Clarins in Paris instead. That puts her in the middle of a season still defined by both results and choices, with the Rome post arriving while her schedule remains in motion.
