and have unveiled Saint Satine, a four-member global girl group built across the US, Brazil, Sweden and Japan. The group performed its debut single, “PARTY b4 the PARTY,” live on a Japanese broadcast earlier in the day, giving audiences an early look at the act before its scheduled debut on May 20, 2026.

The lineup brings together from the US, from Brazil, from Sweden and from Toyama, Japan, who is 16. Their combined average age is 19.25 years, with the members ranging from 16 to 21, a spread that underscores how deliberately the group has been assembled for a global audience.

That debut strategy is not new for HYBE and Geffen. Saint Satine follows the template the companies refined with Katseye, which debuted in 2024 after the survival show. The new group is being positioned along the same multinational lines, with each member representing a different market and background while still being launched under one branded project.

Sakura’s path to the lineup came through Japan’s , which narrowed more than 14,000 applicants across the country. That selection process, and the broad spread of the final roster, shows how much the companies are leaning on televised competition and cross-border appeal to build a group before the first official debut date even arrives.

The album Shining Star includes two original compositions created specifically for the four members, adding another layer to the rollout as the group moves toward its May 20 debut. The tension in the story is simple: Saint Satine has already been introduced to the public, and even performed live, but it is still waiting for its formal launch. For now, HYBE and Geffen are asking audiences to meet the group first and judge the rest later.
