Loganair launched a new seasonal route between Norwich and Jersey on Saturday, after the inaugural flight took off on Friday. The service begins with flights running once a week before rising to twice weekly on June 3, when a Wednesday departure is added.

Ronnie Matheson said the launch was an important step in strengthening Jersey’s air links and giving customers more choice when travelling to the UK. He said starting the route on Jersey Liberation Day made the occasion especially meaningful, as the airline continues to invest in services that support local communities, tourism and business travel.

The Norwich service is one of four new routes in Loganair’s expanded summer 2026 schedule from Jersey. The airline also plans daily flights to East Midlands, regular flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle and a new connection to Bordeaux. Paul Holley said he was pleased to see more UK regional and European connectivity as Loganair expands its base in Jersey.

The timing gives Jersey another seasonal link as the summer travel period gathers pace, but it also shows where the airline is placing its bets for next year. By adding routes to both UK regional airports and continental destinations, Loganair is building a schedule that leans on shorter, more frequent connections rather than a single flagship route.

For Jersey, the immediate change is straightforward: Norwich is now on the board, and the route will become more frequent on June 3. The bigger test comes in summer 2026, when the new services to East Midlands, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Bordeaux join the network and reveal how much demand the island can sustain.
